The Hillsborough Road Motorway Bridge is a key transport structure forming part of the regional motorway network. McFarland Consulting Ltd were appointed to undertake inspections to assess the condition and performance of the bridge structure and inform future maintenance planning.
MCL carried out detailed visual inspections of the bridge elements, supported by targeted measurements and surveys where required. The inspections focused on identifying defects, deterioration mechanisms and any areas requiring further investigation.
